Good things 30cab, this carb was on the motor before the previous owner tore it apart for a rebuild and all was fine. I will check what you said and let you know what I find. Very strange how all parts can be swapped and not a said difference.

Not really strange at all if you really think about it. All those nice original parts you installed were probably removed at some time over the past 80 years because they were causing a problem. That pile of original parts that we all have would still be on a car if they were good. That is why every part that goes back on a car needs to be checked to ensure it is good. Otherwise, instead of trying to find one problem, you now have to chase down multiple broken parts to fix the issue.
