The control I mounted on the steering column and the flasher I mounted behind the drivers side kick panel. I also used a wire block to mounted to the support just behind the kick panel.

Ours was strapped to the bottom of the steering column, and hidden by the carpet.
I couldn't hear it clicking anyway, so we have a peizo siren, connected via a diode to each sides flashers. I replaced that unit you show, with a solid state unit designed for a 6V VW. Flashers come on instantly, and the flash rate is the same, regardless of engine running or not, and revs or other electrical load. It doesn't, however, change the speed if a bulb blows. We check them each trip though. I found the thermal one was variable and other loads altered the flash rates and how long it took for the first signal to flash (ours flashed the pilot light first, not the signals outside ![]()

I have used this Radio Shack $4.00 12 volt piezo buzzer on my turn signals. When using 6 volt it is half the volume which is still loud. I didn't use any diodes just used the flying leads on the buzzer and tied them into the flasher terminals... Sure helps to turn off the turn signals when you get older and more forgetful.... |

Shameless plug, Tom at the Model A Ford Works makes a nice three fuse mount that has the plug for the flasher built on to it. It mounts on the inside to the two drivers side screws holding the junction box to the fire wall. It moves the fuse off the starter and give you two more fuses for things like turn signals etc. Pm me and I will give you his phone number.

I am so frustrated with this new signal kit.
I spent hours carefully wiring it in. I checked the wiring like 5 times. I know everything is right. When I turn either signal on (right or left) the two back brake light up solid as well as the right front. The left front doesn't even light even though it has juice going to it. Thinking I have a defective kit. Soooooooo dang frustrating.

The instructions state "connect the grey/black wire to "the green wire" on the brake light switch. There are 2 green wires on the brake light switch. Tried both, still same results.
