Default The 100.000 Model T ford assembled in Argentina!!

In late 1913, Ford Motor Co. decided to install in Buenos Aires the first Latin American branch and the second in the world after England. In 1917, after having sold over 3500 vehicles begins unarmed car imports to be mounted in Buenos Aires.
In 1925 he opened the first Ford plant in Latin America in Argentina, and begin manufacturing the Ford Model T. In 1926 he produced the Ford "T" number 100 000?

If that car pictured with 100 000 on the side is what they assembled, it looks like the 1925 and earlier body style. I saw some model T Fords some 20 years ago in a museum in Buenos Aires. I might have been looking at one made there and I did not know it. I bet there are a lot of minor differences.

First thing I noticed from those photos that the cars are LHD, whereas I always thought Argentina was RHD before the War.
Also as mentioned, they are not 1927 models.

I was researching an official "Ford" website and the number 100,000 was assembled in 1926 but I have some doubts about this information, I also found another website where it was said that in 1913 Ford inaugurates its second branch in the world and first in South America and 10 years later assembled the car number 100,000...

This text was taken from another site ...

In late 1924 came out of the Boca plant the 100,000 unit, starting a tour across the country covering over 6,000 km.

It was interesting the selling point of the time saying:

"If we would need to save the population of Buenos Aires by transferring it to the city of La Plata, using those 100 000 Ford T, the operation would take place in just 10 hours"

In 1925 there was an expansion of the production capacity of the plant to 45,000 units per year and the budget was increased to 1,500 employees.
