I've seen handles like that on 48-52 Ford trucks with the 4 speed crash box transmissions.

Here is the one from my 36;

The extra do dad on the bottom is for my ebrake.

Doesn't look to me like your ratchet is the same as mine. The rest looks the same.

I just looked at my 32 and 33 cars. Both are straight handles so it is NOT 32 to 34 car and it looks longer and different at the base than 35/36 car and 37 car went to a left hand pull under the dash so I would say it has to be truck. That's all I got , what year truck ???????????????

The handle itself appears to be correct but the mounting bracket is incorrect, the correct style is in mrtexas photo. Ignore the small bottom bracket in mrtexas photo it is for a aftermarket E-brake cable.

Your logical deduction....appears logical!
Any mid '30 TRUCK owners that can help eliminate/confirm that this is truck or not
NOTE:
The 'hole' at the bottom of handle is a clue (I think) , as it would be for a mechanical brake rod attachment ...so mabe '36 truck with original mechanicals??
