I didn't think it was possible to use the headers with stock intake for this reason.

I can understand part of the problem is the intake being shifted away from the engine by the header plate thickness. The throttle should work if the arm is bent out to allow the throttle rod to clear #4 exhaust but the choke could be a problem. This is the best I can do because my stock intake is on another engine. Hope it helps, and tomorrow I will try some measuring.

Only one linkage to one carb?

Why not buy one from someone locally? Bill drives his Model A Coupe as a daily driver with manifolds he makes. Bob http://www.waccustoms.com/

Mike,

The mechanical hook-up is on the head side of the carbs....look close.

E-bay/Ford 94s with the AA-1 bases and intake throat vents. It took three to get two that matched. I never realized that there were so many different models. With kits and a few parts they worked great. Oddly, the 'new and improved' stuff (neoprene needles etc.) gave me the most trouble.

After examining the situation, it isn't the choke or throttle linkage that is a problem, it is the #2 and #3 exhaust pipes. The pipes will prevent the stock A carb and manifold from bolting up to the header flange because of their radius.
