For sale: 1963 Fairlane 500.
If the photos didn't make it obvious enough, this is a project car, or possibly a parts car, but to good to part out in my opinion. Engine is a 260, and currently not running, but did turn over by hand & it is complete. Trans is auto. Rear end was missing when I got the car, still missing now, same with the radiator. Since this car came from Georgia, the body is vary "do-able". Although not rust free, what rust is there isn't anything unusual, or severe. Floor needs a patch where the drivers feet go, I have not found any other bad spots in the floor. Trunk floor looks good. Trunk lip needs a patch above drivers side tail light, not visible with trunk lid closed. 1 door has a vary small hole the size of a dime. Drivers fender has a hole the size of a quarter. Glass is good. Rear bumper has surface rust, but it's solid & straight. Body is pretty straight, no large dents. Interior is almost complete, B - piller trim is all that's missing. Fabrics will need to be replaced, steel parts need repainted (dash & tops of door pannels). Headliner is OK, sail pannel area is the worst of it. Package tray needs redone. In other words, interior needs typical rest work. Price of the car is $700, and I consider it to be a vary fair price. Most people I know would have a higher price on this car. For an additional $250 i'll throw in a pile of parts from another '63 Fairlane. All 4 doors, drivers fender, grill, front splash pan, and a complete rear end from a '68 Falcon. All in vary good shape. Doors & fender are better than what's on the car now. These parts are worth signifigantly more than $250!! I would consider cash + a partial trade for parts for '60's Chevy trucks & '41 Oldsmobile, or trade straight up for a complete (turn key) Olds rocket engine. Once the car / parts has been paid for, I can store it / them free of charge for up tp 30 days to allow time for the buyer to make hauling arangements. Please be aware that I accept no liability for this car after I no longer own it. Free storage = no liability. I can not deliver this car. Car is located in Deerfield Ohio. Close to Cleveland, Akron & Youngstown. 330-524-5347 |
