Default Front motor mount

How large is the hole in the front cross member that the front motor mount bolt goes through. I can't tell if mine has been enlarged or should be this size. Thanks in advance

It is a 1931 Victoria, Does the brass bushing fit the hole and then the bolt on the mount will fit the hole inside the brass bushing?

Page 124 of "The Ford Model 'A' Engine" article in Volume 7 of "How To Restore Your Model A" appears to show a 3/4" diameter punched hole. The threaded shaft of the motor mount yoke does fit inside the brass bushing. The assembly arrangement is shown in most parts books such as on page 'Gen 104' of Mike's "A" Ford-Able Parts.

I prefer to use the stepped brass bushing in all years of A,s even tho only the early vehicles used them.

Bob. C is correct and – had I bothered to check Section 1 of the Judging Standards – I should have realized this. Per my copy of the standards (page 1-3 Revised 2011) the front engine “…support utilized a brass bushing installed from below the cross member…” This brass bushing was deleted in February of 1929 and “…replaced by an unfinished 15/32” (3/32” x 1-3/16”) flat washer on the bottom side of the front cross member.” I suspect many of us (myself included) do what columbiaA does and use the brass bushing, either out of ignorance, personal preference, or because our vehicles are not being restored to show condition.
