1931
My current one is a 31. When searching for it, 31 is all I looked at. (All 3 of my Model As have been 31s) |

Probably not the answer to your question, To me I have no preference as to year. I think they all have their own merits. My goal is to have one of each year (have 28, 29 & 31) body style not really that important, but would love a 1930 to be a deluxe delivery.

Definitely 1931. My son and John Mallie drive the 28 & 29s in order to anger me.

I would want a very early 28 with the side cowl vent. I have 2 running late '31's now, and a boatload of parts. The wife wants a 57 T-Bird. Looks like I'll be working over a T-Bird before I ever see that '28.
The two '31's will, of course, remain. |

I've had several '29's, '30's, and '31's. I'm with CarlG on this one...all I have/want is
more '31's! Need a roadster and a pickup to complete the wish list, but a V-8 1 ton (32-34) is not far behind.

I love the looks of the 28/29 Special coupes but the 30/31s have more room inside width wise. I own a 29 Special coupe and a 30 Std. roadster and use the coupe more for driving distances and cooler weather. I like the looks of all of them however.

It depends on body style
29 roadster over a 31 roadster 31 tudor over a 28/29 tudor 30/31 AA over a 28/29 AA 30/31 touring car over 28/29 mike |

I've had two early 1930s and three 1931s.
I prefer the look of the 31 radiator shell but liked having the trip odometer in the early '30 speedo. had one indented firewall 31, the shutoff under the hood was a real pain. that said, I really like the 28-29 Fordors and the tall cab pickup trucks. God only knows what the next Model A will be.......

I love all the years, but a lot of the 31 cars are neat looking. I especially like the looks of the radiator shells.

30-31s are my favorite. They have such straight and robust lines. They don't look diminutive like the 28-29 models. Something about them looks stronger.

30 to 31. The styling on them leads the way more to the 32 Ford which is what ever Model A owner wishes they had. At least I do.
