broken venturi

i have a zenith 2 carb. the venturi has broken off cleanly and left the upper and lower carb pieces with half of the venturi in each part. is there any easy way to remove both pieces without damaging the carb ? would heat from a torch loosen the venturi, which i think is made from a zinc casting then maybe tap each piece out> thank you in advance.
