Default Miniture NOS 32 sector shaft.

This came with some stuff. It looks exactly like a 32 steering sector shaft but is smaller. The shaft is 1" od vs, 1 1/8" for the 32. No cotter pin hole like a 32. No makings, I posted on the A side and of course it is not A. Could it be for a tractor? English Ford seems out as it would be left hand drive with fore and aft steering. Any body want to guess. And no, it is not a Henway. The used shaft next to it is a 35.

Could be Model Y in LHD form (they were sold on the Continent as well as in Great Britain), but that's a WAG.

The original 32 sector does not have a cotter pin hole, The pitman arm is attached with a large lock washer and hex nut. The cotter pin hole and large castle nut for pitman arm installation started in late 35.

Thanks, I did not know when they started with the cotter pin, I did not phrase my statment very well about the hole. I meant that the mystery shaft did not have a hole which is like a 32 shaft which also does not have a hole. Just bad word choice on my part. I was trying to date the part.

Gemmer made boxes for a lot of different manufacturers. It may not be FoMoCo.

It looks Gemmer...but the small size must mean something. Not Crosley, they used...blast, cannot remeber brand, pin-type.
From a Ford engineering book sitting here, it looks like early British small Ford used steering almost totally different from US Gemmer type. Almost none of those would have made it here.
Postwar Anglia version made it over here in some numbers, but I have no idea what steering design they used.

Bruce last year i took three 33/34 boxes apart looking for 15/1 sets for use in 32 boxes and one of those was a sector that was 1 ". every thing else was the same.
