Re: Puttin a key in the drivers door

I am working on rigging up a solenoid on one door that will unlock the inside handle as a precaution for if I ever get locked out by the inside handles. That will just have the wires tucked up inside the door and if I ever need it just fish the wires out and touch them on 12v. That’s still in the thinking and planing stage but it should work. I need to get the door locks in and the glass in yo see where I can locate the solenoid.

Re: Puttin a key in the drivers door
Here is todays progress. Putting the key lock hole in the door. I drilled the hole to 3/8” and used a 3/8 drive socket that closely matched the diameter on the passengers door, a 3/8 bolt some fender washers and a spacer. Socket on the inside and fender washers on the outside.
Turned out almost perfect
