Bruce, those rear fenders were severely abused!

It's amazing that these "finds" are still out there, tucked away waiting to be saved.

TJ I always try to figure out what caused the damage on a mechanical or body part. The only thing I can guess is poorly installed tire chains. It is odd because the bed sides are really straight. See you in a week at the Petaluma Swap, save me a slice of pie!

GB Yes i was able to buy the truck.

19fordy I'm always on the hunt, part of the fun of old Fords.

Newc Missed seeing you at the Portland swap, maybe next year.

Tim Hey, it was four blocks from my house in a back yard shed. Kinda like a certain 34 tub.

Sugarmaker

Ever since I was a kid I liked old Ford V8 trucks. There is something about them, they are friendly like a good old dog, and are willing to work much harder than they were meant to. Around 1966 my dad bought a 1933 short wheelbase 1 1/2 ton to go with the 157 inch 1936.
I have restored several 1932 to 1940 trucks big and small. I have a stalled project 32 rpu that will be my next frame-up V8 truck, hopefully after the 2 builds I am currently engaged with.

Looks like a good start. I just put 4 new United Pacific fenders on my 32 pickup. Unlike much repro stuff they are spot on reproductions and a simple bolt on. I also eliminated the side mount for a cleaner look. My tailgate was also rough so it was Mack Hils to the rescue with a perfect new 32 tailgate. One more thing, I rebuilt the doors with UP latches and window regulators. UP has a lot of parts for your truck that are perfect reproductions. Not cheap but sometimes cheap ain't good. I also just helped a friend of mine doing a BB stake bed get his new UP front fenders, both UP cab doors with all internal hardware including new hinges, and several other UP cab parts he was missing. As he said (I'm running out of time to get all this stuff done) These parts will save him a lot of time.
