1930 roadster fender on a 1931?
Will a roadster 1930 front fender go on a roadster 1931? Is it a direct fit?

No. The 30 fender has a short splash apron welded to the fender, as the 30 has the running board and main part of the splash apron as one piece. the 31 uses a long, one piece splash apron, so the fender has a relief for the front part of the splash apron and they bolt together at that point.

As Bill said no unless you have a fairly late 1930, I think the change started in September.

Look at the 30 Roaster fender nose piece. If it is bolted on instead of welded it will fit the 31 fender fine. It is also possible to drill out the spot welds on the nose piece, drill mounting holes in proper location and it will fit.
