Default Headliner Retainer Strip

My 47 coupe didn't have a headliner in it when I purchased the car. I am about ready to install a new headliner, but from what I've read, my coupe must be missing the retainer strips for the headliner. I have located the metal v's above the doors that hold the windlace, but can't figure how the headliner is held in place above the doors, unless there is a retainer strip missing.

Does anyone sell a relacement retainer strip, or can something else be used in place of the original retainer strip? Thanks.-----------tom

For general information. There are retainer strips. I was able to locate the pair that came with the car. They screw in place above the doors, after the windlace is installed. Thanks.------tom
