Re: Ahooga horn for cell phone
Gary,
Realizing that all phones are different I used a recording of my own horn. Go to your "music and tones" select "my sounds" select "record new" Honk your horn in what ever pattern you like. ( may help to have someone else hold the phone at different distances away from your car until you find the right sound) Once you get it as you want select it and select "set as" and use it as a ring tone or text alert or what ever suits you. Hope this helps.

Re: Ahooga horn for cell phone
Gary,
Describe exactly what you want and I will create one for you. In the mean time, feel free to use this one. I tried to make one that is not too obnoxious. It gives you time to answer it, but yet maintains the theme. http://modelabasics.com/Horn/ahoogaRing.mp3 http://modelabasics.com/Horn/ahoogaRing.wav Paul

Re: Ahooga horn for cell phone
My phone plugs into my computer and I save directly to a file on the phones mini card. A second method would be; copy it to your computer and send it to your phone as an e-mail with an attachment. Once you have it on your phone hopefully a family member or a friend can help.

Re: Ahooga horn for cell phone
I have the Droid Razr M and downloaded the wav file from 30ccpickups link to my desktop where I could find it easily. Then I used my charger cord that is a two piece cord, universal for 110 or usb. Take the usb cord, plug it into your computer and the other end into your phone like you were going to charge the battery. Go to the start button on your computer, click on computer in the window that pops up. You will see the icon for your phone, click on it, look for ringtones. You will have to minimize the window you are in to see the desktop, do this by putting the mouse pointer to either side of the window that is open, until it turns into a double ended arrow, hold the left mouse button and drag the window sideways, you will see the desktop , click the ahoogaRing wav. icon holding down the left mouse button and drag the icon to the ringtone folder. After that go to the ringtones on your phone and select the ahoogaRing. I did this yesterday and love it.
Also thank you 30ccpickup for posting this wav. file |

Re: Ahooga horn for cell phone
Great idea Gary! I never thought of using the horn for a ring tone.
30ccpickup, This is a dumb question, and I'm probably the only one who doesn't know how, but how do I get the audio file saved from the link you gave us to my computer then to the phone? Robert |

Re: Ahooga horn for cell phone
Good question, it is defferent on different computers. The easiest way would be to go to my website http://modelabasics.com/ scroll to the bottom of the web page, right click the file and choose save target as.

Re: Ahooga horn for cell phone
Paul. That is by far the BEST one yet! The A running in the background makes it perfect.

Re: Ahooga horn for cell phone
iPhone has it. At our local monthly club meetings, a phone rings and 50 people reach for their phone.

I can send it as an MMS message to your cell phone if you text me your number. Text me at 218-six three nine-7966. Sounds awesome.
