8ba water pump bolt sizes?

Can anyone tell me the bolt sizes for water pumps on an 8ba? I am using 8rt pumps. I found the sizes for the 59ab but I believe they are different.

Trying to avoid having to order a bolt kit and pay shipping.

The water pump to cylinder head hex bolts for the 1951 Mercury are 3/8-16 x 1 1/16
and 3/8-16 x 1 7/8. It's the same block as the 8BA so I would think the bolts are the same. Use a stainless bolt and stainless washer for the bolt that goes inside the water pump and do not over tighten. I don't know if you can buy bolts exactly that length, but you can always cut a longer bolt shorter as needed. The Merc Manual says to torque the factory steel bolts to 23-28 foot pounds. I tighten the stainless steel bolts just so they are very snug without forcing them. Use Anti_Seize Compound on all the bolts.

Measure the depth of the threaded hole. If I recall the 59A bolts are 7/8" long, people buy 1" bolts and sometimes they bottom out in the hole and don't squeeze the gasket and leak. The parts book usually gives the bolts size and length. G.M.

Jim Pullen...Do you possibly have a better picture of that FAN SUPPORT thingie, and a couple of details, maybe? Looks like maybe something you dreamed-up that may work on a '36 I know of with an 8BA. DD
