Default Engine compartment wire routing

Can someone provide pictures or charts showing the proper wire routing and grommets used on the firewall and wires going into and out of the terminal box? I have a wiring diagram but it doesn't help much with proper routing, just connections.

Here is my 1928. The steel conduit for the generator wire should be black. The red and black coil primary wires coming out the top of the terminal box switched sides at the end of 1929 to put the ammeter in the ignition circuit. This way you could see the needle bouncing back and forth as the ignition points opened and closed to help diagnose a possible starting problem. The SERVICE BULLETINS has a picture and details in the November 1929 section, if I recall correctly.

Many thinks to all who responded. I am ready to rewire my '29 and have new harnesses from Snyders. This will help a lot.

Check Bratton's 2014 catalog page 94. It has an excellent wiring diagram of the terminal box and dash wiring, with the terminal box labeled driver's side, so there is no doubt about the view.

Here are a couple pictures of my 1928 and you can see I moved the black coil wire to the driver's side terminal box stud, so it is now registered through the ammeter. Ford made this change in late 1929.

Thanks Tom. Now I know where and how the distributor cable grommet goes.
