Default Windows

I have a 47 car that the passenger side door window when is lowered, goes too far down and won't come back up without some help with a plastic screwdriver.
There must be a easy fix eh. Thought I would ask before jumping in thinking I
knew what I was doing !! Moe

Moe I have the same issue with my NZ (ex FOMOCO Canada plant) assembled coupe. I have tried adjusting the stop mechanism on the winder arms but it still goes below the door top and sometimes can't get it up again (could have rephrased that better). I've had to resort to taking the window escutcheon out and unclipping the door card to enable me to get my hand in to reset it. After doing this about half a dozen times in the last 6 years I have now learnt not to wind it down below the top of the windowsill.

Hi Graeme, so there is some kind of a stop to adjust. I guess I'll attempt to
fix this, just thought there was a easy fix without taking the cloth/panel off.

Moe from what I recall. Take the door panel off or at least undo some of the clips so you can lift it up a bit. There is an access hole on the inside of the door frame. I cant recall if you will see the hex bolt straight away or whether you have to wind the window until it is exposed but I pretty sure you can adjust the bolt so the actuating arms stop against the bolt depending whether it is against the flat or the point of the hex. also I note there is another hole next to it which may be another position you could move the bolt to for another range of adjustment. I have taken a photo of a spare winder mechanism I have. You can see the bolt I am talking about next to the toothed gear.
