Default Went for a drive today

Took my 30 tudoor out for a drive today about 8 miles runs just fine no oil leaks or water leaks ran bout 170 degrees. Brakes will lock up, transmission is smooth no growling shifts fine. Steering seems a bit stiff but then everything is rebuilt runs straight no wandering at all. Will finish putting the trim pieces in today. Carb does not leak either.

Very nice;

It sounds like your madden voyage went a lot better than when I first drove my Tudor after I restored it.

Congratulations,

Chris W.

Hi bnchief,

FWIW: Reminds me of when I posted a similar "no leak" report years ago when I first drove my son & his bride to his wedding in my newly mechanically restored Town Sedan.

One humorous Fordbarn question was, "Was it possible that I may have forgotten to put oil in the engine and water in the radiator."

Did my last drive of the season yesterday, (1/1/2017) put 1230 miles on it this season, I was shooting for 1000.
Going to try for 1500 on more this next driving season.
Going to start my winter work this week, so off the road she comes.

BTW, my car has been running under 140 since I had the radiator cored and re-done, going to change out the thermostat and try and raise it, I think it runs a little (lot) to cold,

Congratulations, 8 miles today, 80 miles next week, and 800 miles next month. Enjoy the fruits of your labor.
