Default Item unknown?

This item was stuck to the A post in the door jamb of my Sport Coupe. There were 4 - 2 in each back door, one near the top and one near the bottom of each pillar. The one shown is the only one still complete. The others have disintegrated. It is made of rubber vulcanised around a steel washer with a protusion. Although they were stuck on, they could also have been screwed on as there are counter-sunk holes molded into the rubber.

Sounds like mounting feet for a battery charger, etc. that someone added to keep the door from sagging while closed, or to keep the door from rattling.
