Default Do all frames have RHD steering holes?

I never noticed this before, but my frame has holes to mount a RHD steering column. Is this a standard feature?

I am not sure but for the majority of the Canuck built A's they all seemed to have been double punched. Quite a generalization for sure but we did export alot to those who preferred the darkside.

The ones that I have are only punched on both sides on the 28-29 frames.

My frame is a '29, so that could explain it.

I think the frame that aren't drilled for RHD have dimples to show where the holes would be drilled if needed.

Here 'Down Under' where we drive on the 'right side' , all '28 '29 & into 1930 chassis are drilled for both RHD & LHD. Sometime in 1930, there are chassis with no LHD holes; I do not know about 1931 as there are not many in NZ.

All the RHD chassis's I've seen are hole punched for both LHD and RHD. They have all been 28-29.

our unrestored 31 Coupe has the RHD holes. April engine, car assmbled in Cleveland.

S/W Town Sedan with March 31 engine does not.

I seem to recall our unrestored 31 Tudor also had the holes but cannot confirm.
Alan Stewart, are you on the board?
does the Tudor have those RHD holes?

In Argentina most of the model "Ts" that exist are LHD and most model "As" are RHD, What are the parts that are changed to change from one model LHD to RHD?, All chassis I've seen are punched on both sides of the rails, always thought that the some parts were the same and could be amended before the ensamble, like the steering box, for both sides...

My roadster is RHD and came back to this country from Argentina and it does NOT have holes punched in the left side frame rail for the steering.

My 1930 roadster (presumably Canadian built and assembled in Australia)has the mounting holes on both sides.
The firewall and fuel tank are pressed but not cut out for L.H.D. configuration as well.

Cheers Steve............
