Default Rumble Seat Floor Pan, 31 Cabriolet 68C

I've started repairs on the rumble pan. On the left and right rear corners of the pan, the corners have been bashed in with what could have been a ball peen hammer. The hammered in areas are virtually identical leading me to think that they may have been done at the factory. I can't remember what was in this area for bolts. Was this done to increase access to fasteners? Ed
