McPherson College Auto Restoration Program needs the old car community’s help
Our fund raiser to to benefit The McPherson College Restoration program has been going very well thanks to you our readers. Many have made very generous contributions and the shop is working with several individuals who want to donate equipment and one shop that maybe closing, has even offered all of its body shop equipment and tools. But more help is still needed and we just ask that you take five minutes to make a donation directly to the non-profit College, located in McPherson, Kansas. Even if it is only ten dollars, it all adds up so please help them if you can. If you can help first off the most important thing to do with your donation is to mark it as being for “Auto Restoration Tools and Equipment”. You can learn more about doing so directly online here. If you are more comfortable sending in you donation you can print this form and send your contribution directly to them. You can also learn much more about the College and the fundraiser here. Amanda Gutierrez who runs the Restoration program at the school has also asked me to post this ad for the College. They are looking for an assistant professor to help with the automotive and motorcycle engine rebuilding program. You can contact her at The College to learn more about the position. The photos show the trimming shop at the very (top). Left to right (below); another photo of the trim shop, the wood shop with a student making a buck for forming sheet metal and a student working on a mechanical repair in the shop. |

Here's a photo of the 1923 T we restored a couple years ago. It was a pretty good original car to start with. All of the work was student done, except the nickel-plating. It ran as well as it looks. |
