Default What does this belong to?

I was going through a box of parts that I got with my 46 coupe, In the box was this rubber and on the outside of the plastic bag is V 701980-6. Anyone have an idea of what it belongs to and where it goes?

It's the rubber seal that goes in a metal retainer on the top of the rocker panel and seals against the bottom of the doors, fits '42 through '48

Also in this box of goodies were some 48-52 F1 rubber like the cowl vent. After posting this I went out and looked at my 48 F1 thinking that it was the rocker door seal but that wasn't it. I do not see anything on the rocker on my coupe. It still remains a mystery. In looking at all the items in the box I noticed that some came from carpenter. The label only gives his regular phone number and no toll free number so they must be rather old.

The "C" shaped tin that holds the rocker seal attaches under the door sill plate if I remember. So the ones on your car may be gone?

This is the metal strip that holds the rubber seal. It locates on the floor underneath the carpet edging strip and the rubber seals against the bottom of the door.

Hope this helps
