Our Cars Get The Attention
I drove the `35 to my son's house this morning to work on his `57 Pontiac. We finished up about 3:00 PM. At the traffic light in town a a grey Toyota pickup started following me. We live about 10 miles from town and the truck followed me all of the way to my driveway. The driver got out and asked if I wanted to sell my car. He said I was driving 55-60 miles an hour was impressed with the way it ran. I was indicating 50-55 but my speedometer is wrong because of my 3.54 gears.
I have had a lot of people want to buy my car, but no one has ever followed me 10 miles to ask me. I think I will keep it... Shadetree

Just make sure he wasn't following you to see where you live. If I know someone is following me and I don't know who they are I let them pass or pull over and wait for them to make the next move. Scumbags are out there waiting for the opportunity.

That's cool! If you were pulling it on a trailer he wouldn't have given it a second thought. People are much more impressed when they see them driving with traffic, then sitting behind velvet ropes.

Re: Our Cars Get The Attention
I get a lot of thumbs up in my 35 pickup. I think it attracts more attention than a restored car. More unusual.

Re: Our Cars Get The Attention
I think I am safe. The guy introduced himself and told me where he lived. He is a local successful businessman. He would like to have an antique Ford. I remember many times talking to an old car owner to see if he would sell me his car.
Too, in its unfinished state, my car presents itself as a car someone could afford to buy and finish. I get lots of inquiries at car shows and offers of trade. Some think I just fell off a `tater' wagon. Shadetree
