Default Fitchburg Swap meet

It looks like warm sunny weather. Most of our spots are sold so the field should be full. Get your old car out. $5 admission and magnetic dash plaques to first 500 cars.

Frank, that 68° still sounds good! When do venders actually start setting up for this?

I didn't take as many pictures as I had thought. Will post half here and more on another post below:

Vendors set up on Sunday the day of the meet and cannot get onto the field until daylight as it is an airfield. Usually 6:15 to 6:30. Some other years when daylight savings was done later we had to wait out the first light to get in.

Had a great time hanging out with Frank Miller last night visiting some restoration shops and a guy with an unbelievable sheet metal forming/metal working shop in the Auburn, MA area. Then starting @ 6:00 am today, we had an outstanding day at the Fitchburg car show/swap meet. Lots of great Early Ford V-8 parts and complete cars were there. An unbelievable turnout on a beautiful day weather-wise.

Yea- What JM 35 Sedan said. Ditto. Would like to throw a thank you out to all the Early Ford V8 members and their wives/others for all the work put into this event each year. The layout and numbering of spots, the correspondence of the pre-registered, the clean up, etc. plus the full day of service the day of the meet is more than most can comprehend. Great job everyone. Me three ! ! ! We were parked at 6:00 AM on the dot. Left home at around a bit past 4:00. What a great time and wonderful weather. Took my oldest son and he was blown away by stuff he saw. He had never been even to Hollis before so now he's got the "bug" Thanks to all for your work and dedication . Nice job

I second the thank you to all the EV8ers that ran the show. This year they had members right at the start of the entrance off Crawford St to sort out the prepaid vendors and others. Big improvement in traffic flow. Helps to get there by 6:15 - 6:30AM as guys told us that the exit of Rt 2 was so jammed up when they came, they had to go up to the next exit and come in the back way. The early bird doesn't have to wait to get the worm. Best weather ever, and the turnout was unbelievable. We have gotten hammered with cold Northeast winds, rain and snow in the past. Lots of great vendors and parts. Found the key pieces I needed by 8 AM, and sold a few also.

Great day for sure. A little chilly on the ride to the show but it warmed up nicely. I was able to pick up a carb part I was looking for from a fellow Barn member so it was worth the trip. Good day.

Thanks everyone for all the compliments. We could have really used more help but we got it done. The traffic was done by 10. Part of the problem is cars can only moves so fast when parking and there are pedestrians.
But here is what makes the show a success. Our participants. The airport says we are the best group they host. We literally left that place cleaner than when we got there. Thank you for your continuing support.
