Default aeromore " TRAIN " whistle

I have an AEROMORE whistle to add on our 30 pickup but wanted to know where in the exhaust they are normally mounted. Does it work best before or after the muffler or at the very end of the pipe? Thanks in advance for the help.

Depends on your adapter. I have an adapter that hooks at the end of the trail pipe, as do most that I've seen that use it, and it works great.

Isn't that a pretty long cable to actuate the cutout?

Put mine between the muffler and manifold for maximum sound! Used a lawn mower throttle cable to activate it.

Not too bad. Whistle works fine so no complaints.

NO, Everybody that I know have them on the end of the tailpipe. I tried years ago putting it between the manifold and pipe but it always leaked.

There is another topic on here, where I asked someone if they could post a picture or two of their Aeromore Train Whistle at the end of the exhaust.

Mine was originally installed between the manifold and the muffler, with an after market heater on the curved 90, just before the muffler. The whole mess leaked and I removed it.

I just got back my exhaust pipe from the muffler shop last Friday and will be installing it at the end of the exhaust. When I do install it, will post pictures.

Here's the link to the thread, which contains the pictures I requested.
