38-39 pickup headlights

Looks like my 38 big truck had some sort of parking lights in the headlight bucket. Did the 39 PU have them too?

Are these rings some sort of adapter to do the same thing? Don't seem to fit unless there are spacer rings or something.

yes on the pick up parking lights and the black rings are after market to adpt to seal beam bulbs
