Default Anyone heard of this stuff?

Has anyone ever heard of "Gorilla Hair"? It's sort of a super dooper body filler with lot's of fiber it. They recommend it as a base coat then you finish it with the Bondo. Half a can was given to to me to use with the story that they p[ut it on a jeep that they used for offroading and the stuff took it with out cracking. Just wondering.

It is used mostly on fiber glass bodies . It is also used when holes are in the part and you want to prevent moisture misture from the back side to penitrate your plastic. Most auto body materials only have a shelf life of one year before using it. I would through it out if you do not know how to read the code date on it.

Gorilla hair is waterproof and much stronger than bondo, which is just polyester resin and talc powder.

Much better than bondo but it is basically finely chopped fibreglass strands in resin, so it has to be machine sanded, hence the top coat of bondo used to finish for paint.

I use a type of gorilla hair that has stainless steel strands instead of 'glass in it.

Yes, That's the impression I got from it. Here and there on my cowl patch panels, I got some distortions in the metal from welding that just seemed to need more than Bondo. I am not a big fan of polyester resins body fillers, but I can't do lead, so what else is there? Thanks for everyone's input, It's appreciated.
