Default Model A Truck Theater Prop

We have been working with the people at the Asolo Theater in Sarasota, Florida supplying parts for their truck prop for a production of "The Grapes of Wrath". They sent this photo showing their efforts. Mostly reproduction parts with only a couple of real rough original parts.

Hey that is really neat. What are they doing with the truck after the show is over?

Did they paint the body parts or is that original "patina"?

Its all painted to look old and used. The fenders are fiberglass, the cowl is fiberglass that was modified for a custom pattern and not usable on a car, the hood and radiator shell are new steel. The frame is lightweight and on castors so they can roll it on an off stage.

Didn't the Joad's drive a Hudson Super-Six sedan, converted to a truck? Of course this A serves as a reasonable depiction. And you can't expect perfection in theater or film. Not cost-effective.
