Seeing that the "Chroma" of colors changed from year to year....I would say the closest color in V8 Ford parlance would be "Coach Maroon"?? AT least the sedan delivery....the three window coupe, not so sure?? PLUS lighting and angles of these photos???

Our friend painted his German 32 close to the two colors you posted based on my eye and the photo's you posted...IF memory serves the body was either Coach Maroon OR a Packard maroon, the fender and belt molding color was a custom mix. Unfortunately he is not around to ask and the car sold years ago. The Prescott collection in Maine has the car now

Thank you guys. Pete, that chart is a great help.

It looks like two different colors to me but may not be.

Early in the 30s Ford had light maroon and medium maroon. By 1939, they had 3 or 4 different maroons and some darker reds as well. This is from the Auto Color Library.

It's very difficult to ID a color by looking at it in the modern era. There is a lot of water under the bridge when it comes to automotive paint.

I'd say the '32 is some non-original color, and the Model A might be a modern attempt at reformulating the Rubelite Red, but photographed in a overcast conditions with an uncalibrated white balance.
