OK, like a lot of you guys, I have rebuilt a fair amount of 2 and 4 bbl carbs. Usually involved a kit and a can of carb cleaner, ending with acceptable results. My 39 Merc is just so darn original that I would like to have the carb restored as much as rebuilt. I have perused the ads in V8 Times and elsewhere, but would really welcome any first hand recomendations for a known high quality carb rebuilder/restorer from someone here on the Barn.
