It appears to be a 3 speed transmission with out the OD. The serial number of the vehicle is stamped on the bell housing of the trans just above the inspection hole. a 1948 would start with 8H- , a 1947 would start with 7H-, and a 1946 the number would start with just a plain H and a number around 151xxx
