Here are some pictures of a 1934 Ford Coupe Ute. In the lower picture, you can see this open space between the Running Boards and the "D" Molding under the Door. On the Passenger cars, Sedan, Coupe, Roadster and Phaeton, there is a false panel that fills this space. These false panels were not fitted to the Coupe Ute or the Roadster Ute. The reason for this space is because Australian 1933/1934 Fords all have a Wooden Floor about an Inch thick. Rather than having deep doors all the way down to the Running Boards, Ford Australia raised the height of the "D" Molding and used these false panels to fill in the gap. I hope that these pictures help you understand some of the differences on these Australian 1933/1934 Fords.
