Hmmmm,
In a sort of semi technical approach I tell customers who are purchasing
one of my SBC / 8ba distributors if their motor pulls 15 inches of vacuum use the
can. Obviously (3) 2's with straight linkage and a 400 jr cam (or equiv) make a vac
can useless. A decent street Flathead with let's say a Max 1 or equiv cam and
two 2's will ,I do believe, benefit from the use of a can...the adjustable cans are
especially nice. Lower cylinder temps and better mpg are tough to argue with.
