Keep in mind that the quoted article was delivered to Hot Rod by a seller of certain intakes and could have been stacked in favor of their product. Just a way that business is done. I chose the slingshot because of the split plenum, allowing me to try progressive linkage on a two carb setup. The manifolds rated lowest have been the most forgiving and easiest to setup for smooth operation in my application. Be skeptical. Fred A
