Default Re: Mobil 1 best for cold starts.

During the eighties I worked at a full service Mobil. I picked up the Mobil 1 habit.

On occasion my wallet would insist on a cheaper choice. (my other specialization being contract delivery work-meaning lots of miles driven and frequent backyard oil changes) However, I was blessed with exceptional hearing. So on cold winter mornings that initial burst of life told me that I had best run Mobil 1 if I expected to have the equipment last.

That said I that I expect if I ever get my AV8 running I'll be using Mobil 1. All I have read recently, about zinc and diesel oils, indicates that our spring pressures are fine with the amount of zinc plus other additives that are in today's oils.

BTW My Mrs. prefers I not run it in my avatar. When the trans bands get hot, the car smells like onions (And I don't mean Vidalia).
