I have two very original 1934 Fords, one is a very early production and the other a very late production and the Steering Wheels are different. The outside Round part and the Spokes are finer on the early 34 and thicker on the late 1934. While these cars were assembled in Australia, I believe items like the Steering Wheels would have been imported from Canada. Both Steering Wheels in my cars are in very good condition. It may not be easily noticeable from these photos, but you can definitely feel the difference when you grip both Steering Wheels
The Green 34 is a very early production model (March 34) and is the lowest body number Australian 1934 Phaeton that we know of, as all Phaetons with a lower number are 1933 models. Meanwhile the Blue 34 is very late production model (Nov 34). 1934 Fords were still being assembled in Australia in March 1935, with the Ute production even extending past this date.
So, the answer Larry's Question, while the 33 and 34 Ford Steering Wheels have the same design, and look the same, from personal experience, there are differences, as described above. What do the experts have to say about this?
