I had one of the town sedans in the early-60s - never finished it. I'd say they are beyond the skill of most kids. They have both metal and plastic parts that don't fit real well. They're held together with screws, some of which are pretty obvious. Plastic kits are easier to build and more detailed/authentic. All that said, they have some collectible value - yours probably more so since it's a roadster and in a sealed box (DON'T break the seal).
