I've tried a lot of mirrors on my car and the best I found were the convex "Peep" mirrors. Nice and close and wide angle for a great view, especially on the right side where I couldn't see anything useful in any other kind of mirror. Convex "Peep" mirror is the only way to go for me. I left my other mirrors on for looks but don't really use them. They're just not as useful as the peep mirrors.
Here's my driver's side. Passenger side is the same.
