One other item to remember during your overhaul.......take a real hard
look at the rear thrust face inside your case ( the face that the cluster gear
thrusts against ). Occasionally this face is chewed up to a lesser or greater degree.
Even slight roughness can cause you heart aches down the road as the thrust
washer will just get torn up running against a messy face. As Fred said yesterday
there are lots of good cases out there.
