I use one of those scribes that has an L bend in the one end like a hook to pull the brush spring up in order to remove the brush from the guide. I use a pair of duck bill pliers to reinstall the brush into each guide while holding the spring with the scribe hook. Like anything mechanical, the first time is the hardest until you get a system going. After that you can do it easily. Some 5/16 course thread nuts will work on the long bolts while handling an assembly then remove them just before installation.
