Default Re: power valve

cdan and everyone,
Examine the power valve in the middle and take careful note of the MACHINED
gasket face. The typical PV is not machined on the gasket face and thus may or may
not seal. The machined face allows the proper gasket to be used ,.560 ID x .750 OD X
.040 . The machining allows the gasket to center itself and allow proper flow of
fuel when you stomp 'er down.
As Jack mentioned CARQUEST has the small headed PV's.
6.5 "hg Carquest # FM-728D
5.5 "hg " # FM-728G
A side note here....the Holley PV's which do require a flycut into the
bowl test absolutely on the money in "hg as advertised while the Carquest PV's
are within an ,shall we say, acceptable, range.
FYI I do this machining if anyone is interested.
