Default Re: Front Motor Mount

Yes,
Some cars are easier than others for a variety of reasons.....
you will have to remove the lower stud nut on the mount and washer & spring, remove the two 3/4" headed bolts & lockwashers holding the mount to the timing cover... and using a jack and block of wood on oil pan towards the front ( I like the front rail if you can get something up there) jack up the front of the engine very slowly/carefully until the stud clears. Do not jack up any more than absolutely necessary. check it often. You will have to keep the mount lifted and it will just clear. Of course if you have to replace your rear engine mount rubbers.. it can be done in the car..... but is made easier with a frame spreader and is of course much easier to do if you should ever have the engine out.

Be careful and observant and it can be done easily.
