Thanks for the reply John. I need to get some better pics and measurements or something in the pic for scale.
The plates with the threaded rods looks like maybe a coil spring compressor and the other part "looks" to be a part of the kit. It's heavy and very stout.
I'm not that familiar with these old Ford cars. I just have my 52 F3. Also, it seems as most of the tool questions posted here are rusty old tools that the experts are familiar with and quick to recognize.
They have a lot going on at the house but, I'll try to get over and get more pics and information. I appreciate your reply.
