Default Re: AA Spoked wheels

1928-29 AA trucks used a Model A car front axle and brakes with different hubs and brake drums. The hubs only fit the 1928 AA 20" wire wheels with the small hubcaps and the 1929 6 hand hole concave disc 20" wheel. The 28-29 trucks with the car front axle used the worm drive rear axle.
The 1930-31 chassis with the larger front brakes and Bevel gear rear axle used 3 different styles of the 20" 5 hand hole Budd disc wheels. The 30-31 front axle was bigger and stronger than the car axle that it replaced. The 5 hand hole Budd wheels can be used as single or dual wheels on the rear axle. From January 1930 to about June of 1930, Ford used the 28-29 body style on this chassis.
Some deluxe AA trucks also had a 20" wire wheel with a larger hub cap than the 1928 wire wheel. These wire wheels require special hubs and brake drums. These are hard to find.
