Matt, as you know, I'm studying this brake stuff real hard right now. There is a thread somewhere that discusses single vs. dual that is very good info. The consensus on that thread was that a dual was definitely safer IF and only IF it is properly configured. I'll try to find that thread and send it to you.

Also, I might add that a dual master being safer also means adding a booster gets way more complicated should you decide to try that.
