That would be Monel, which is a steel looking variant of nickle, copper, bronze type alloy.
VERY common in pumps, marine, other uses where strength and extreme corrosion resistance is required.

I have found T50 monel staples at the common box stores. Other staple variants MAY have monel as an option but harder to find.
Right now I'm struggling to fill a 1980s "Craftsman" brand manual staple gun with something that will work. Duofast staples seem to be recommended and ACE Hardware has equivalent "Wide Crown" staples which are suggested online - but not available at my local Ace.
There are more varieties/dimensions of staples than stars in the sky apparently.
