You would need a donor. Much quicker and easier ($$$) to bite the bullet w GENUINE FORD PARTS and somebody who knows what the hell they are doing and can trust them (IMO)

I had the same problem with a Powerglide ... no matter how hard I tried, I could NOT get that thing to shift into 3rd.
