Default Re: '64 F100 v8 engine size(s)

I have only one personal experience, and no written info that the FE style of engine was available in the 64 F series trucks, however, as I stated previously, Ford had the bell housing to fit the T-98 4 spd trans and they had the front motor mount plate.
It is interesting to note that the 64 F-100/350 series was the last truck to use the solid "I" beam front axle which utilized the front engine mount.
However, there is an exception to this application; The '65-66 F-250/350 4x4 trucks used the '63-64 style of cab w/intragated running board steps. The cab is actually the F-350 style with the battery box under the right floor board. The inner fenders are also the '63-64 style w/ a '65-66 core support and grille.
The '65-66 FE engine is mated to the NP T-18 4 spd utilizing the early style front motor mount.
I am currently restoring a '66 F-250 4 x4 that had the original 352, I have replaced it with a '68 390.
I can not speak about the '65-66 F-100 4x4's because I have never paid any attention to them.
